The city of Elche, in Alicante, is transformed into a medieval town on the occasion of this festival, which has been held every year since 1990. International artists bring through music, theatre and parallel activities the opportunity to encounter the past.
Elche Medieval festival
The festival features a medieval market, music and theatre performances, exhibitions, fireworks, games for children and fun and entertainment galore. You are invited to take a journey back through time and to imagine life as it was in Elche at the height of the Middle Ages. There will be many stores selling all sorts of items including crafts and gifts, lots of food tents where you can try medieval inspired dishes and a full programme of entertainment.
The Medieval Performances part of the festival offers international artists the chance to preform music, theater and dance from Medieval times. Most events are free.
