It is one of the mandatory visits for tourists all year long. You will be able to do all kind of ludic activities, and nothing as good as starting with a wonderful walk from the beach of El Postiguet to the Poniente dockyard, stopping in the Puerta del Mar, where one of the most famous buildings of Alicante can be seen: the Carbonell House.
Enjoy also the views of the yachting harbour from the Explanada or the Paseo de Gomiz and once there take a break and have a snack in one of the terraces with a wide offer of restaurants and entertainment. The Park of Canalejas and the Poniente dockyard are ahead, and there is an entertainment area where you will be able to enjoy a great sunset on the yachting harbour. At night the right choice is to visit the Marina Deportiva where is one of the biggest entertainment areas of the city with famous restaurants and sea fi sh speciality restaurants, much frequented pubs opened until late night, a casino, etc.
Furthermore, Alicante being the starting port of the 2008/2009 Volvo Ocean Race, a new public space has been created between the marina and Postiguet Beach.
